When someone lands in the intensive care unit, the doctors and nurses are consistently checking the vital signs of the patient. Everything from blood pressure, pulse and oxygen levels to name a few are monitored closely for improvement or in the worst circumstances deterioration. The doctors and nurses respond accordingly to the situation. It is no different in our businesses. We need to check our business vitals consistently to ensure we have the necessary information to respond.
The important vitals in my view are Culture, Customer Satisfaction and Cashflow.
Culture is very important and a critical element that drives Customer Satisfaction and Cashflow. Work on the Culture of the business, get regular feedback from customers on their satisfaction levels and keep a daily check on your Cashflow.
